So the blood test results came in and today and the prognosis, mononucleosis. Yes, I have mono could I be any luckier? The doc told me I should be well within about a week because I didn’t have a bad case of it and the medicine is working real well for me. Just informing anyone who cares.

So my penicillin medicine didn’t start working within 2 days and my throat still hurts just as bad as it did Friday when I went to the ER, so to GVSU’s Clinic I go. At the clinic I had my throat swabbed and had my blood taken for lab work. They did a rapid mono and strep throat test and both came back negative. However, I may still possibly have mono or some other disease thats why they are doing blood work in the lab. So in the mean time the doc gave me new perscriptions; Zithromax and steroids, lucky me. I will know Wed. what I have for sure. Check back than.

Well all last week wasn’t that great for me, this is how it started…Over last weekend Chouse had a pretty sore throat/cold/flu thingy, I was pretty careful to try and stay away from him as much as I could, you see I enjoy being able to spend time with Lindsey on the weekend and do MSU type things (IE. Party). However, last Sunday I developed a sore throat, assuming it was from Chouse and hoping the flu would be weakend by him I played it off as a cold and just guessed it would be gone within a few days. Than Friday morning rolled around, swallowing was nearly impossible and I felt terrible and to top that off I had to give a tour of the campus to high school kids and their parents. When I finished walking around GVSU in 20 degree weather I jumped in the Buick with Stephany to start the weekly trip to MSU. When I got to Linds room she could tell I still didn’t feel well, I just kinda sat around, didn’t say much, etc etc. Anyway later on that night my mom and sister Laura came up to deliver me my printer and some other things from at home. By this time my throat hurt a lot so my mom took me to the store and we bought all kinds of medicine for me, than we went to Clara’s for dinner. I downed 3 TSPs of decongestient and sprayed that throat crap in the back of my throat. After barely downing my food we went back to MSU and my mom and sister left; than Sameena and her friends started the party in their room. Since I wasn’t to up for drinking I just kinda layed around, eventually around 11 PM I walked over to Emily (Linds suite mate’s) room. I layed on her couch and Lindsey sat with me, around 11:45 PM the pain was amazingly strong so I decided to go to Sparrow Hospital in Down Town E. Lansing (DT. EL!) So about 12 AM I was checked into the emergancy room. This is where the excitement began. First, a homeless guy wearing like 6 jackets mumbling and barely being able to walk sat down and started rolling cigarettes, that was interesting. Than two guys carried some chick in because she had alcohol poisoning she ended up staying in the ER room longer than us just puking and puking and then finally sleeping. Than a few more kids came in with another girl whom also had nearly drank herself into a coma. They put her in a wheel chair and she kept passing out and not responding, the girl that brought her in was going insane screaming for someone to help her because it looked like she was gonna die, finally they took her in the back. Than 3 kids came in, 2 guys who got the shit kicked out of them and the chick that was with them. One of the kids had a bottle smashed over him and his friend had many slashes, one major one under his right eye. They were both drunk obviously because they started to talk to everyone, Lindsey and I found out that the 2 guys were from Royal Oak and went to Kimball while the girl, Tracy, lived in W. Bloomfield. They were real cool and we ended up talking to them for a few hours, Pugh (the kid who had the bottle busted over his head) ended up having to have staples put in, his friend, Tony had to have all kinds of crap done to him (we ended up getting their email addresses so we can hang out with them some weekend! lol.) Anyway, around 4 AM or something like that I was called into the back for evaluation. Around 5 AM I saw my first doctor. She checked me out and said she’d be back in a few minutes. Around 5:45AM she came back told me I had pharyngitis a infection of my throat and glands. She put me on Veetids and Tylonal 3 w/ codeine. So 6:15 AM, 6 hours after I left for the hospital we returned home. I slept, woke up about 10 AM, went to get my perscription filled, came back and layed around in agony all day. I had a terrible fever all day and just felt like crap. So, I missed Toms Halloween party that night (grr) and when it came time for me to sleep, it just wasn’t happening. I ended up staying up late because my body ached so bad, finally I fell asleep and than Sunday morning I woke up and puked, ya that was nice. Later on in the afternoon I started to feel a little better, but it quickly diminished later on that night. So im still sick and im going to go to bed now at about 11 PM. Im sure I’ll be better by next weekend due to the MSU/ U of M game in which there will be many parties, hopefully Lindsey doesn’t get sick. All weekend she was the best person, I love her so much she took care of me, bought me OJ, made me jello, she was there for me every second of each day. Thank you babe! Thats all for now, I realize I just wrote a friggen novel.
