Nothin Beats Chippin’ and Catchin’ Mice

Current Song: Dr. Dre feat. Nocturnal – “Bad Intentions Seriously folks, is it ever a boring weekend when your with me? I mean really, you’d think after this long we would run out of things to do. But just when you thought we were contained, your wrong. So here ya go kiddies, take notes and enjoy the things we college kids do. Thursday Night – 1.24.02 (9:15 PM) – Chouse brought the idea up from Chelsea. Him and his friends had been doing it for a while. Chippin’, that is. Now for all you little boys and girls who don’t know what “chippin’” is I’m going to tell you, but this is the LAST time because I’m sick of explaining it. In Jackson, Michigan (about 30 minutes from E. Lansing) there is a Frito Lays Distribution Plant. This plant checks all the Frito Lays chips that come in to make sure they are packaged correctly and that the bags are filled the right way. It is also the place that all the surrounding stores send back the chips that are outdated on their shelves. When the Frito Company gets them they throw them (along with all the mispackaged chips) into a dumpster. This is where we come in. Me, Chouse, Ken, Antwan, Brian, Lindsey, and Emily all show up at this plant at about midnight. Antwan and I jump in the dumpster and throw out all the chips that aren’t broken open and we take them. A lot of people think this is dirty, but let me assure you nothing is wrong with the chips, we only take the ones that are sealed. So this is what we did Thursday night, the funny pictures of me in a dumpster are a treat. By the way, the total count of bags of chips: 108!Friday Night – 1.25.02 (10:00? PM) – Tonight Emily’s brother, Andy was having a party at his house on Charles Street. We had a large group of people going over there too. Me, Lindsey, Emily, 4 of Em’s friends, Ashley, Chaz, Jane, good God if I’m missing someone I’m sorry. Anyway, Andy had a pretty phat party. Around 1 AM everyone was in their ‘prime’ of partying and Andy and his band started playing. Next thing ya know the cops were all over. It appears that some jack ass was outside throwing bottles at parked cars so the 5-0 assumed that he was from Andy’s party. So, the cops made everyone leave, blah blah blah, I really wanted to take my picture with the cops for the webpage, however, in my state of mind, it probably wouldn’t have been the greatest of ideas and everyone was yelling at me so I decided to pass that by. It was a kick ass party though and it appears that Andy will be having one more before the year is up *smile*.

Saturday – 1.26.02 (Sometime in the afternoon) – Me and Lindsey just got back from our double date with Chaz and Jane and we were getting ready to go to the movies when Ashley came in and said there was an “animal” in her room. So I being the man that I am, went in and looked. Behind the couch, yes, there was a tiny mouse. So I decided to pull a “MacGyver” and try and trap the bitch. I used a bucket, a cracker, and a highlighter in my trap. I put the cracker on the ground and positioned the highlighter on the middle of the cracker and balancing the lip of the bucket on the other end of the highlighter. My reasoning was that the mouse would try and take the cracker and as it touched it the highlighter would fall, thus dropping the bucket over the mouse. I left the room and we all went to see a movie. Unfortunatly, (or fortunatly, depending on who you talk to) the movie was sold out. When we got back the bucket was down! I slipped the top of a pizza box under the bucket and flipped it over. I removed the pizza box lid to reveal nothing. That son-of-a-bitch mouse got the cracker and didn’t get trapped. I kept adjusting my trap and trying new things but it never worked. Eventually on Sunday when Em got back she brought mouse traps (the humane kind that don’t kill the animal). So as I said, Sunday was all pretty much mouse trapping but by the time the new traps arrived I had to leave. All in all, 10 out of 10 stars for the weekend. Next weekend looks to be quite promising as well. Ken and I (and a few others) are going to Canada. Oh ya, you can expect all the pictures from this weekend to be up next weekend. Thats all for now!

A Weekend of Fun

Current TV Show: South Park First I’d like to say that last Thursday was me and Lindsey’s six month anniversary (mwah baby mwah) and she somehow managed to build a website and very graciously incorporated me into it. . Well we went home this weekend expecting exciting things. And we weren’t dissapointed. We start with Friday.Friday January 18, 2002- Today we planned to go to Clutch Cargos in Pontiac. After my hair cut I went home to get ready for the night. I ate dinner then showered. I picked Lindsey up at 7:30 to go over to Erin’s house so they could get ready. While Brooke, Erin, Emily and Lindsey made the transformation from average teenage girl into hoochy slut I watched the Red Wings game. At about 9:15 or so we got the call from Mike Kennedy (This guy that worked with me and Brooke at Office Max) saying we could go over his friend, Kenny’s house. Well Kenny is this dood that lives with his parents. His dad is lawyer. They live in a four story historic mansion across the street from Pontiac Central High School. So we get out of the car and walk up to one of the many doors on the house. Kenny meets us there because, “I saw you guys on the camera.” Ya thats right, the camera. He takes us up to the fourth floor of his mansion into the game room. Pool table, fuze ball, big screen TV w/ satelite very nice. This is where the, what shall we say, pre-partying began. After about a half hour Mike, Erik (From OMax) and Kherker (long time no see) came over. From there we went to Clutch witch is only about a block away. Since Kennedy is like a VIP person there he got us in without waiting in line and completely free. It was tight. So inside Clutch me and Lindsey danced. Brooke made out with some random guy for an hour. Emily danced with a forigner that couldn’t speak English very well. And Erin tried to get away from some Khaladean that kept trying to kiss her neck. Interesting to say the least. After we left at about 1:45 AM we went to Coney Island to round out the night. A good experiance overall.

Saturday January 19, 2002- Today me and Lindsey we’re going to the AHS Cheerleading Competition in Novi. We were meeting Brooke, Erin and Emily there. Unfortuntly, it took me about 80 miles to get there from Troy. The map we had was so jacked up. Needless to say I was pretty pissed after waisting so much gas. Anyway, we won’t discuss the details of the cheer competition, other then the fact that the AHS Cheer team did pretty bad. After the competition me, Lindsey, Emily and Daniel (Lindsey’s bro) were going to Detroit for the auto show. This was great I love the auto show so taking 27 pictures of cars obviously wasn’t too difficult. After the auto show we took the people mover to Brick Town and ate at Nikkis Pizza. Mmmmmmmmmm nothing like Greek pizza and Saganaki to finish off the night. . The pictures from clubbin’ will be up whenever Brooke gets her pics developed. That’s all for now.

Sledding in the Ravines

Current TV Show: Hockey: Red Wings Vs. Dallas Stars So lets see a show of hands. How many of you have ever, 1. Stolen a tray from your cafeteria and 2. gone sledding on it? Ya thats what I thought. Well we did. Tonight was pasta bar at Kleiner. Someone (probably Ken) got the bright idea that we should steal trays and use them as sleds. So after our yummy meals we took about 5 trays and slipped them into Evans bag. Next thing you know we’re in full snow gear walking toward the overflow west parking lot toward the ravine. So, were fumbbling around the woods or the ravine if you will and we find this hill. Well, actually there are many hills, steep ones too. I mean think about it. There is a river constantly carving away the land so the hills are quite steep. Anyway, we find this one steep hill and decide to go for it. Ken, being the leader that he is jumps on his tray and shoots down the hill, quite fast too. So I decided to follow, unfortunatley, I ran into a tree but thats okay. After that hill we decided to move onto higher and more daring slopes, the black diamonds if you will. We found one really cool slope that went under a cracked tree (so it was bent in an arch shape) as long as we went UNDER the arch and not any other way we would be ok. This too, was a really fast slope. After that hill we made the decision to head back. But mark my words. We will be back. There are many more uncharted slopes for us to ride. And next time, we’re using buffet trays (smoother and bigger). MWAHAHAHAHHAAHA. Okay goodbye.

Boredom

Current Song: 112 – “Dance With Me” Is anyone else bored? Is it just me or does it seem like this past week has gone incredibly slow? Even this weekend at MSU was uneventful. All the parties were at frats and sororities and you know what that means. Okay maybe you don’t know what that means, one acronym – B.Y.O.B. If you don’t know what it stands for, forget it. Otherwise at State I taught Lindsey how to make a webpage, that was exciting. When she is all finished with her first attempt I’m going to host it off my page (for shits and giggles of course). This weekend should be more fun then the past. Thursday night I’m going home after my 3 hour class that ends at 8:30 PM. On Friday Me, Lindsey, Brooke, Emily (the Biatch Crew) are going to Clutch Cargos. It should be more fun than usual because Brooke has Kennedy as a hook up there. On Saturday the Biatch Crew and I are headed to Novi to go to a Cheerleading Competition (exciting). On Saturday afternoon I get to have my fun, The North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Oooooooooooohhhhh like a kid in a candy store cars, cars, and more cars. I can’t wait. That’s about all for now.G’Night.

Back in the Allendale Show

Current Song: Juvenile & The Ruff Ryders – “Bust Our Guns” Yesterday was the last day of winter break. At 12:30 PM I left for Grand Valley, but not without stopping at MSU first of course. Lindsey left about an hour before me so she was unpacking when I got there. Her family was chillen on the couch watching the Lions win (ain’t that weird to hear?) Anyway, I didn’t stay there long, about a half hour or so. I got back to GV at about 3 or something like that and I had a lot of shit to unpack. I was happy to know I recieved Windows XP while I was gone so I had to install that (nice 3 hour process.) I had to reinstall a lot because of the XP upgrade the drivers for some programs wouldn’t work. It sucks to be back, I’d rather be at MSU. This will be the first time I actually like Monday’s. I only have one class on Monday and Wednesday from 2-3:50 PM (Algebra). As a matter of fact it’s almost time for me to leave. Later on I’m going to try and put up the NYE 01-02′ Pictures, check back. Peace.
