Mid-Spring Break Update

Current Song: Petey Pablo – “Raise Up” Well, I’m now half way through my first ever college spring break. It’s just like every other spring break when I don’t go anywhere…boring! I find myself constantly trying to figure out what to do. The computer here just doesn’t meet my standards (unlike my beautiful Dell at school). I guess to make my work load less for when I get back to school on Sunday I’ll start letting you all in on whats happend so far (as if theres a lot). Last Saturday (3.2.02), Lindsey and I went to Miami Of Ohio in Oxford, OH to visit Mr. Mark Uberti. Let me tell you, 4 hours of driving with Lindsey will make anyone go insane (haha just kidding). It wasn’t that bad, Lindsey kept me up with her singing. I think the bulk of excitement came when we went through the city of Wapakanta or as I like to say, “Wapakanatakata,” sounds like a black womans last name if you ask me. When we got to the Ox Mark took us on the grand tour of campus, it was really pretty. For dinner that night we went to Kentucky (Applebees), we weren’t gone too long because Mark was excited about drinking yummy Keystone beer with me (a 30 pack for $11.99 has to tell you something). So I partied with Mark and all his friends Saturday night. On Sunday we went to the Tri-County Mall, not too much to report on that except for my impaired vision on the name of the chinese restaurant I ate at. The sign said, “Asian Chao,” but for some reason I thought it said, “Asian Chaos”. I got made fun of. After the mall we went to this crazy grocery store called, Jungle Jims. It’s pretty much a warehouse of every food from almost any country you could want food from. In the Mexico section they had a free sample table of hot sauce out. The hot sauce choices were, “Mild”, “Medium-Mild”, “Medium”, “Hot”, and “Inferno”. So me being the dumbass that I am head straight for the Inferno sauce. I dipped, I ate, I swallowed, and then I cried. It was the most intense burn ever. I literally started to cry and sweat because the sauce was so hot. After about 20 minutes the pain subsided, however, I think permanant damage was done. For dinner that night we ate at this place called, “Attractions” in downtown Oxford. Not too good, too pricey. However, I got to drive in Taylor’s (Mark’s friend) phat Acura Integra. I also had the opportunity to taste SkyLine Chili. Kinda like National Coney, but down in Ohio. It was alright but nothing beats NCI.

Tuesday- Today I slept in. Didn’t do too much otherwise. There was a party at my Aunt Jodie’s house for my mom and my Aunt Susie’s bday party. Me and Lindsey rented a movie, “Don’t Say A Word” pretty good flick. I ended up sleeping at Linds that night.

Wednesday- consisted of eating and driving. Pretty boring. Me and Lindsey went to visit Jackie Lovell, that was fun. After that we saw Amie Kellet at the hair salon, I got her digits so I finally have a hook up at GVSU. The rest of this night was sitting on the couch and just relaxing. Tomorrow Lindsey goes to Chicago with Emily and Brooke. I’m on my own after that. *Sigh* I guess I’ve said a lot, for only 4 days of being gone. If your all lucky I’ll have pictures developed and on the site Sunday. If not, don’t hold your breath. I’m done until Sunday. Enjoy the break kids. Oh ya, one more thing, the whores at GVSU cancelled Cornstock. Bullshit I tell you, bullshit.
