Winamp 3.0
October 29th, 2002Current Song: Missy Elliot - “Work It” –Winamp 3.0 was just released a short time ago and I downloaded it last night. To my pleasant surprise it was a LOT more different than Winamp 2.81. Besides the obvious graphical differences Winamp 3.0 offers some really cool new features. For instance, it has a toggle switch for cross fading located next to the classic shuffle/repeat buttons and when this button is active the transfer from one song to the next is more enjoyable instead of a sudden stop and wait time until the next song starts. Winamp 3 also utilizes your MP3 library just as Windows Media player does allowing you to sort through all of your media files. This newest version also allows for video play and new visualization studio to enhance the visual effects (which are also more vibrant in this edition).
