DETROIT BASKETBALL
June 18th, 2004Current Song: None at the moment – So I know it’s been a few days since the Pistons beat the L.A. Lakers 4 games to 1 (DET: 100 / LA: 88 Final score, final game) but I HAVE to give them props on my website. I mean, these guys were unbelievable. So many people thought LA was a given to win (8 to 1 odds in Vegas? Yea right) but Detroit showed them from game 1 through game 5 (minus the exception of a few minutes in Game 2’s Overtime) that they were all business.
Going to work.
That’s their motto, and they believe in that 110%. The Piston’s have such a well rounded and unselfish team and I truely believe thats what got them the Larry O’Brien trophy. They play as a team, unlike L.A. where most of the time Shaq and Kobie are held high upon a pedastal and always looked to, to get things done.
I’d also like to add one more thing. I’m a big fan of Jimmy Kimmel, however, he definetly talked a lot of shit about Detroit winning and rioting or whatever. I just want to say that I am very proud of the way the Detroit fans handled themselves. Everyone had a blast, no one burned or tipped over cars (or couches for that matter right?).
Anyway, big props to the Piston’s, National Champions, bringing the gold home to the D baby!
