MSU vs. U of M Tailgate
October 4th, 2005Current TV: The Biggest Loser– This past weekend was the yearly rivalry between MSU and U of M. Tailgate started at 7 AM, but the crew and myself did not make it till about 8:20 AM or so. Jeremy’s momma and poppa were all set up when we arrived and already drinking mammosa’s. The night before I made Dirty Girl Scouts for my new flask that Amanda got me for my birthday so everyone was hitting that up all day. For the most part of the morning I hung out at the Szpaichler tailgate but after Bonnie and Lee took off to the game I went over to Tom’s tailgate. I got to see a bunch of people I haven’t seen since like my sophomore year so that was a lot of fun. The rest of tailgate time was spent watching MSU choke to U of M in OT by missing a field goal. We have no kicking ability what-so-ever. This week is our annual bye week and next week we play a strong OSU team away at the Horse Shoe. On Saturday night Amy, Amanda, Lindsey, and I went home to celebrate the September birthdays. When we got back Amanda and I went out with AC and his new girl, Carrie to Royal Oak for a birthday. While we were there we ran into Josh randomly, then again, I guess it was weird for him to see us.
Sunday was the day of the birthday parties. It was also the first time I’ve got to see my grandma and grandpa from FL who are visiting this week. Also, my Aunt Martha and Uncle Dan were visiting from Minnesota with their 4 year old twins, Ava and Jacob. It was a fun filled Sunday, Mark and Sarah also came over for a few, it was a good time.
