Euro Trip: Day 1

This is the second attempt at me writing an entry for day 1 of the Euro Trip.  I tried last night and ended up falling asleep mid-story telling and woke up to a dead laptop battery.  Also, I may not be able to be online as much as I’d like, as I have to pay for it when I want it at the hotel.  Obviously, if I find someplace around here that offers free wireless I will take advantage and use it otherwise this may be the only time I can post all week.  The other issue is that it takes a long ass time for my computer battery to charge here.  The voltage is only 220 volts and from a dead battery to 8 hours of charging only got me 60% of a full battery.

Day 1 was filled with a lot of traveling and me being awake for 30 hours straight.  Ridiculuous.  After Aaron and I finally got to the hotel we worked out (yes, worked out on no sleep).  After that we went out to explore.  We hit up a coffee shop right across the street from our hotel called Resin.  Every coffee shop is different in terms of atmosphere and theme.  This place is just crazy.  Everywhere I look there is something going on.  After we walked around for a while we came back to the hotel and ate in the hotel bar which was tough to do as they were playing some slow love songs that were putting me to sleep (which by this point was not a hard thing to do).  By the time we got back to our room it wasn’t even 8 pm and we we’re on the verge of passing out (which Grocki and Amy know all about as I fell asleep in the middle of talking to both of them).

Day 2 started at 5 AM, yes 5 AM.  I woke up and couldn’t go back to sleep so we did the obvious and then went and had a buffet style breakfast at the hotel restraunt.  After that we passed out again.  It is currently 4 PM Amsterdam time and we are going to be going out again in a few mins.  I did get a chance to get some pictures up so check those out.  I didn’t take a lot yesterday but I am trying to take more today and so on.

Like I said, I don’t know how many times I’ll be able to get online but every chance I get I’ll update.
