Sean Casey

If anyone reads this blog you already know I met Kenny Rogers last week (19th).  Well, 2 days later on Saturday I was working and guess who comes in to eat with his family?  Sean Casey.  Either the Tigers are stalking me or I’m just really lucky.  I had a chance to talk to him for a minute, I wished him good luck the rest of the season and told him I was pulling for them.  He was incredibly nice, he shook hands and was all smiles while he was holding his son to show him the bugs on Camp Ti’s wall.

In one month I am going to be carless.  Laura is going back to MSU and taking the Grand Prix with her.  I need to save money and find a car.  Funny how things work out.  I was on Facebook today looking at Melissa’s profile and I noticed that she put up in her info she is trying to transfer the lease on her Mazda3 that she just got like 4 months ago.  She is transferring to her new Yahoo! job in Chicago in August so it essentially works out for me, just need to save money now, but if all goes well, I think its going to be my new ride!

This morning I awoke to loud hammering upstairs…I came up to see what was going on and this is what I saw:

The first photo is of my bedroom and the second is of our kitchen looking out onto the deck.  Obviously, we’re getting new windows.  I don’t mind the gapping holes in the house, nor do I mind the moths flying in and out, but what the hell are we gonna do if a bird flies in?!

Close Encounter

Last night Mark, Ryan, and myself were in downtown Birmingham walking past Flemmings Steak House and I notice a couple standing outside waiting for vallet.  We walk past them and all of the sudden I notice Mark stops walking and turns around and starts to walk back.  I turn around and the guy looks up and immediately I realize its Tigers pitcher Kenny Rogers!  So of course Mark says, “Hey, I picked you as my Tiger!” and Kenny chuckles and thanks him and then Mark says, “We’ll see you in the World Series” and Kenny replies with “I hope so.”  I wanted to tell him to keep his hands clean in October but decided against that.  Anyways, that was our sweet DTB Tiger Encounter.
