Close Encounter
July 20th, 2007Last night Mark, Ryan, and myself were in downtown Birmingham walking past Flemmings Steak House and I notice a couple standing outside waiting for vallet. We walk past them and all of the sudden I notice Mark stops walking and turns around and starts to walk back. I turn around and the guy looks up and immediately I realize its Tigers pitcher Kenny Rogers! So of course Mark says, “Hey, I picked you as my Tiger!” and Kenny chuckles and thanks him and then Mark says, “We’ll see you in the World Series” and Kenny replies with “I hope so.” I wanted to tell him to keep his hands clean in October but decided against that. Anyways, that was our sweet DTB Tiger Encounter.
