Pre-Halloween Weekend

Man, the weeks are flying by here!  I mean, the day’s go by slow but the weeks as a whole just move quick.  This past Thursday was my one month anniversary of being in Utah, can you believe that?  I think this is now officially the longest I have ever gone without seeing friends/family because even when I was at MSU there was still usually something going on in Troy that required me to be there.

Last night BT and I carved pumpkins that I bought from Walmart a few days ago.  I know, carving pumpkins on a Friday night?  Don’t laugh it really was fun and if you understood Friday nights in Park City you would be carving pumpkins too.  I took 2 pictures (below).  The first one is of Billy carving his pumpkin and you may be wondering who the older guy is at the table, that’s Sonny.  Sonny lives below us in one of the rented out bedrooms.  The other picture is of our pumpkins, Billy’s is on the left and mine is on the right.

Tonight (Saturday) should be a pretty good night for the bars in Park City.  Many of them are having their Halloween Parties tonight so hopefully there will be a lot of ridiculousness going on.  I think the camera may also come out tonight, which means more pictures for ya’ll!  Anyway, I’m gonna go watch some football but I wanted to get a quick update in for everyone, I hope all you people in the mitten are doing well, I miss you guys!

Nothing Crazy

My goal was to update this thing at least once a week so here we go for this week.  This was the 2nd full week of work for me.  On Wednesday I started my new schedule which is 7am-3:30pm which is great minus the fact that I have to get up at 5:50am.  Walking out of the house at 6:15 is quite a spectacle though, however, it’s still dark and the sky is generally clear leaving me starring up at a full canvas of stars.  Living away from the light pollution up in the mountains not only increases the amount of stars you can see but also makes them much, much brighter.  Anyway, work is going pretty good, I feel like I have everything down for the most part, AKA I don’t get stumped too much anymore on questions.  I definitely would like to keep learning as much as possible there, hopefully I’ll get into the tech support forum soon.  Is it bad that after only 2 weeks of working there I already have a set goal of what I would like to do next for them?  I don’t think so, it just means I’ll have to work hard and keep learning and I’m okay with that.

BT and I went out last night, we ended up at the No Name Saloon.  Billy knows the bartender and waitress so we generally get hooked up there.  The night was kinda lame though, as we’ve found out Friday nights in Park City are never anything exciting.  Now Saturday, that’s a different story.  Saturday’s are always insane, I think people drive to PC from all over the area just for Saturday nights.  Speaking of Saturday night, I have a feeling tonight is going to be ridiculous.  You know it’s going to be ridiculous when you actually have a request to bring the camera out with you.  I think that BT and I will end up going to HarryO’s tonight (or as the locals call it ScaryHoe’s).  Tonight at HarryO’s is the archangel model search hosted by Brody Jenner from “The Hills” on MTV, I’m sure it’ll be off the hook there!

That’s about all for now, time to get back to college football Saturday!  Have a good week kids.

First Week Complete

Well the first week of work in Utah is complete and it went pretty well.  I’m starting to get the hang of things and I’m enjoying the people I work with.  After next week my schedule will no longer be 9-5:30, but rather, 7-3:30.  Yea getting up at 6 is going to be rough, if you know me you know I’m not a morning person, but I definitly want my afternoons free to take care of things (like working out).

Last night Billy and I went out to downtown Park City to check out the bar scene, even though it was 40 degrees and raining.  Cicsaros was our first stop, last time we were there it was a hip hop show, this time it was a gathering of business men.  Lame.  We ended up leaving and doing a little bar hopping but not too much materialized.  Tonight we’ll be heading out to the SideCar Bar, for a girl that Billy met birthday party.  Should be entertaining, I hope.

This morning when I woke up I looked outside and saw ridiculousness, thats right, ridiculousness.  Snow, lots of snow.  I took some pictures which are below (click on the thumbnail, you may have to turn off your pop-up blocker).  I also took a couple pics of my finished bedroom.
