Thanksgiving ‘08

Last year for Thanksgiving I did nothing, probably because I was living with William.  However, this year with a girfriend I felt it was necessary to try and pull off some sort of Thanksgiving dinner.  Rachel and I made some fantastic food, starting with the one and only green bean bundles.  If you’ve never had green bean bundles you are missing out hard-core.   They consist of green beans, bacon, and a butter/brown sugar sauce.  Fatty, yes, wonderful, yes.  I also decided to make homemade stuffing, to be specific, carmelized onions and cornbread stuffing.  Let me tell you, I went to 5 grocery stores and no one had cornbread.  My options were basically to make cornbread or to go to KFC.  I went to KFC.  Screw it, I’m not baking cornbread just for stuffing.  To go with all of this I made homemade gravy, it was awesome.  Rachel is not a fan of turkey so instead we got a honey baked ham which was stellar, which I am still eating as leftovers, you can’t beat that.  In all we had: Honey baked ham, carmelized onion cornbread stuffing, green bean bundles, garlic mashed potatoes, and homemade gravy (even though Rachel doesn’t like gravy – don’t act like I didn’t kill that gravy).

Anyways, I don’t have much else to update on otherwise, I will have mad updates after Christmas (my vacation) in which I’m sure there will be plenty to update on.

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving…New updates coming soon.
